Zhu Ohmu in Paris

Zhu Ohmu has been awarded a prestigious residency at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris

March 2025

Zhu Ohmu has been awarded a prestigious residency at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, supported by the Art Gallery of New South Wales. This recognition is a testament to the strength of her practice and the growing international interest in her work. This residency, combined with her conservation training in Bulgaria and Kyoto, presents an invaluable opportunity for her to further develop her practice, expand her professional networks, and continue building on the momentum she has already established.

We are particularly excited about the direction Zhu’s practice is taking. Her recent acceptance into an Ancient Greek pottery conservation workshop in Bulgaria and a kintsugi apprenticeship in Kyoto marks an exciting evolution in her work. We have no doubt that the knowledge and skills she gains from these international experiences will further enrich her already compelling artistic voice.

Zhu will have an exhibition of new work at McLeavey Gallery in July 2025 . If you would like to discuss her practice further, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
