We are thrilled to share the news that Brides, an exhibition of new works by Yvonne Todd, curated by Dr. Chelsea Nichols, is now on at The Dowse Art Museum.
Brides sees Yvonne 'revisit the early days of her career working as a wedding photographer in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland in the 1990s. Shot on location in derelict outdoor wedding locations, Todd infuses the conventional bridal portrait with her signature elixir of eeriness and elegance, hinting at creepy archaic rituals that sit uneasily within the modern wedding album.'
