On Thursday 15 February Bill Hammond's family, friends and the Lyttelton community gathered at the Lyttelton Arts Factory (LAF) to celebrate the unveiling of Lyttelton's latest homage to Bill Hammond.
A larger than life reproduction of Bill Hammond's Traffic Cop Bay is now a permanent feature on the Oxford Street wall of the LAF building. And doesn't it look fabulous!
You can see this special project come to life thanks to this fabulous video produced by Sign Network. The video documents the process of reproducing Bill's Traffic Cop Bay from conception to printing to installation. What an amazing achievement!
Please make sure you watch the video right the way through to hear from members of the Lyttelton community and Bill's wife, Jane McBride.
Thank you to Sign Network for making this very special tribute come to life and for producing and sharing this beautiful video.
We also want to extend a big thank you to everyone who supported the project and made this very special tribute possible.
