About Oleg Polounine
Oleg was born in Russia in 1988, and moved to New Zealand in 1996. He studied at the Elam School of Fine Art, where he got his Masters in 2011. A group show at the RM Gallery in Auckland in 2013 was the first time that Oleg exhibited work in metal. He is interested in form and colour suggesting the humanity of the maker, a sense of the natural in the industrial.
Oleg lives in Auckland and works from his K Road studio.
